Arriving at SCP Mendocino Coast Lodge
We are easy to find! Please use 3790 CA-1, Albion, CA 95410 in your GPS.
As you approach the hotel, look for our temporary SCP Mendocino Coast Lodge banners. We are working on new signage at the hotel and appreciate your patience as we make these updates!
SCP Mendocino Coast Lodge is located on the ocean side of Coast Highway 1, six miles south of the historic village of Mendocino, only minutes from galleries, boutiques, state parks, beaches, golf & tennis, hiking, canoeing, kayaking and horseback riding along California’s Mendocino coast.
The scenic drive to the Mendocino Coast through the redwoods and California wine country via route 101 North and 128 West, takes about 3½ hours from the San Francisco Bay area.
You’ll enjoy the bucolic beauty of Anderson Valley’s wine country which offers uncomplicated access to charming tasting rooms and superb wines of the Anderson Valley Appeletion Region. You’ll drive through apple orchards, vineyards and dense redwood forests, following the Navarro River to the sea.
If you choose the rugged and spectacular coastal route along Highway 1, allow at least 5 hours for your drive from the San Francisco Bay area to the Mendocino Coast and SCP Mendocino Coast Lodge.
This route in places clings to the side of the coastal slopes and mountains, and winds through some of the most beautiful vistas on our planet.
Rooms 1-20 have designated, marked parking spots close to the entrance of each room. Guests staying in rooms Ocean and Bay can park anywhere in our general parking lot, where there are more than enough spaces.
Your Stay
Check-in is at 4:00. When you enter the SCP Mendocino Coast Lodge property, our office is the first building you will see on the right hand side of the parking lot.
If you arrive during our Office Hours (9:00 AM to 7:00 PM), one of our innkeepers will be at the front desk ready to assist you.
If you know that you will be arriving later than 7:00 PM, please call the front desk at 707-937-1919 and inform the innkeeper of your late arrival.
Check-out time is at 11:00 am.
Yes, SCP Mendocino Coast Lodge is a family-friendly property. Please be mindful of the occupancy in the room type you are booking. We do not offer rollaway beds or cribs at this time.
Yes, dogs are now permitted at SCP Mendocino Coast Lodge. We welcome well-mannered dogs with a one-time charge of $35 per dog and a limit of 2 dogs per room.
Yes, all SCP Hotels are non-smoking including guest rooms, public spaces and hotel grounds. There are no designated areas for smoking on property.

Guest Rooms
SCP Mendocino Coast Lodge offers 22 oceanfront guest rooms with private garden entrances and spectacular views.

All of our rooms have either a wood burning or gas fireplace. If your room has a wood burning fireplace, it will be prepared so that all you have to do is strike a match! There is additional wood stored outside, at the entrance to your room.
If you have booked a room with a gas fireplace, there will be a remote to turn it on and off and to adjust the intensity of the flame.
Additionally, each room is equipped with a thermostat-controlled wall furnace.
Food and Drink
Our flexible and advanced purchase rates do not include complimentary breakfast.
The Rest and Refuel package includes breakfast at the restaurant.

Yes, SCP Mendocino Coast Lodge is home to Terra Mar Kitchen, our on-site restaurant. Enjoy dishes made from sustainably sourced, local ingredients while enjoying beautiful views of the Mendocino coast.
Sustainability
We have eliminated single use plastics for bath amenities and water bottles. We have one water refill stations for guests.
Yes! Ask us about our composting program.
Reservations
Many of our rates are fully refundable if you cancel within the seven (7) days before you are scheduled to check-in at the hotel.
