Pet Policy

At Laguna Surf Lodge, we prioritize the comfort and enjoyment of all our guests, including those with furry companions. To ensure a seamless and pleasant stay for all, we have established the following guidelines:

  • Exclusive to Dogs: We warmly welcome dogs as our only pet guests at Laguna Surf Lodge. No other pets are permitted.
  • Pet Fee: A fee of $35 per dog per stay will be added to the cost of your stay.
  • Two-Dog Limit: For the safety and comfort of all guests, we allow a maximum of two dogs per room per stay.
  • No Solo Stays: Dogs cannot be left unattended in your guest room anytime during your stay.
  • Leash or Carrier: For the safety of your pet and others, dogs must be leashed or kept in a carrier while exploring the premises of Laguna Surf Lodge.
  • Responsible Pet Ownership: We kindly request that you clean up after your dog and dispose of waste appropriately.

Pup Perks

Our Laguna Beach dog-friendly hotel goes the extra mile to make your pup feel at home. When you stay with us, your traveling companion can enjoy:

  • Welcome Treats: Locally sourced treats from our friends at the Dog Tub to make your pup's stay extra special.
  • Playtime Essentials: A ball for some outdoor playtime.
  • Pet Waste Bags: For your convenience during walks and outdoor excursions.
  • Filtered Water Station: We provide a filtered water station for your dog's hydration needs. (Please note: Bowls are not provided, so please bring your own.)

Dogs on the Beach

Our furry friends can happily play in the sand and surf year-round. However, some restrictions are in place during the summer, from June 15 to September 10. Dogs are only allowed on the beach before 9:00 am and after 6:00 pm. For the remainder of the year, dogs can enjoy the beach at any time of day but must always be leashed.

Laguna Beach Dog Park

Laguna Beach Dog Park, located 3 miles from Laguna Surf Lodge, is the perfect spot to give your furry friend some off-leash exercise. This is the only designated area in Laguna Beach where dogs can run free. Laguna Beach's Dog Park is open every day, except Wednesdays, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The park offers a spacious, two-acre fenced area for dogs to run and a smaller section for small breeds. Amenities include a doggie drinking fountain and benches for owners to relax and watch their pups play.
