Situated in the heart of the Pacific Ocean, Isla del Caño is a pristine island paradise teeming with biodiversity. Renowned for hosting the most biodiverse coral reef in the Pacific of Costa Rica, it serves as a vital nursery for hawksbill turtles and a sanctuary for a myriad of marine species. At SCP Corcovado Wilderness Lodge, we are committed to protecting the fragile marine ecosystems of Isla del Caño. As part of our Discovery Scuba Diving experience, you’ll not only have the opportunity to explore the island's vibrant reefs but also learn about the importance of marine conservation. Our knowledgeable guides will provide insights into the delicate balance of the marine ecosystem and offer opportunities to contribute to ongoing research efforts.

Your DSD adventure goes beyond just exploration—it’s a chance to make a meaningful difference. What to Expect

Whether you’re a seasoned diver or a first-time explorer, our Discovery Scuba Diving experience promises an unforgettable journey into the heart of Costa Rica’s underwater paradise.

$270 per person plus IVA tax.

Includes
  • Half a day of pool practice
  • One day in Isla del Caño which includes:
    • One dive
    • One snorkeling session
  • A certified instructor
  • Dive equipment
  • Biological reserve entrance fees
  • Lunch and snacks
  • Conservation material
Schedule

Day 1:

6:30 am: Half-day training in the pool + equipment fitting

Day 2:

6:20 am: Breakfast

7:20 am: Meeting at guide house to try on equipment and receive a brief
lecture about our conservation projects.

8:15 am: Leaving with our comfortable boat and amazing captain towards the Isla del Caño Biological Reserve.

9:00 am: Arrival at Isla del Caño for our Discovery Scuba Diving immersion.

11:00 am: Snorkel at Isla del Caño.

12:30 am: Leave Isla del Caño towards SCP Corcovado Wilderness Lodge.

1:00 am: Lunch on the beach
