Whale and Dolphin Watching in Costa Rica
Embark on an exciting whale and dolphin monitoring journey in partnership with Innoceana, an organization dedicated to conservation, research, and education.
Whale and Dolphin Monitoring with a Purpose
Each year, two distinct populations of Humpback whales grace these warm tropical waters to give birth, nurture their young, and engage in the timeless ritual of mating. From January to March, we welcome the North Population, journeying all the way from Alaska, while from July to October, the curious and friendly South Population becomes our seasonal guest. And that's not all - our waters also host other captivating marine inhabitants, including dolphins, Pilot whales, Bryde's whales, and more.
But what sets our program apart is that it's not your typical whale-watching tour. During our whale and dolphin monitoring excursions, we employ cutting-edge technologies and innovative methods to explore the lives of these magnificent creatures. We'll soar to the skies with drones to study and identify individuals, listen to the mesmerizing songs of whales using a hydrophone, work on photo identification, and document any intriguing or unusual behaviors we encounter.
Dive into the world of marine conservation with us and help create a more sustainable world for whales, dolphins, and all marine life.
